Something really exciting happened last week, Mari and Kev asked me to be a Fadder to their son Oscar. A Fadder is a Norwegian godparent. Along with Mari's sister and Kev's sister, and lovely Aud Trude who are Oscar's other Fadders, I will be part of the christening next weekend and given the very important responsibiltiy of caring for Oscar throughout his life. I was so touched and excited to be asked, what a huge honour.
Mari and Kev have also made it clear that the partners will have a very big role too (can we call them fadders-in-law?), especially since all the fadders are women, Kev in particular is keen on having a strong male influence as well!
